I tend to use that quite a lot myself being just down the road from me. Pretty much 1100m a lap sticking to the path (prob 1090m), with two sides (South and East) flat as a pancake (ooh, pancake day today!), and the others slightly undulating. But like you say you could extend that a little.

Ducks (especially when people decide to throw their bread onto the path!) and dogwalkers (especially those with those infuriating extendable leads  ) are sometimes an issue though, depending on the time of day.

Hi All,

here's another suggestion to throw into the hat.

I do my 1 mile reps where I live on Smalewell Road.

Starting at the beginning of Smalewell road, run to the end of Occupation Lane- then turn right onto Uppermoor and then right at the commercial Pub onto Greenside. and back to the beginning a Smalewell road.

There is a couple of sharp turns and a little rise when Smalewell road become Occupation Lane which might slow you down a bit. but I've done is a number of times managing with my best time of 5.27 mile pace.

worth a try.

cheers

Michael
