All,

The first Parkrun was set to be Harrogate on the 30th April. This clashes with the Pacers Woodhouse Moor Parkrun takeover. Therefore there has been the following change:-

The April InHouse Parkrun will take place a week earlier; 23rd April and be at Horton (Some plans to do a tourism run here anyway).

Then some changes to the scheduled harotage and Woodhouse Moor runs have been made to accommodate this. All can be seen www.pudseypacers.com/ourclub/in-house-championships/overview

So First Counter in the InHouse 2016/2017 is now Horton on the 23rd April.

Darryl.

Wildcard Crashing....

So I thought I would do the bunny relay, be the only Pacers and get a 50 pointer and take an early lead in this years InHouse....

Oh No, hadn't factored on 2 other eager Pacers willing to make the long rush-hour drive to Haworth to run 1.5 miles.

So my 50 plan blown out, but great to make a Pacers team and thanks Bill and Anna for joining me.

This has opened up an interesting tactical dimension to the InHouse - using other peoples wildcards to bag some high scores. I think this adds a bit of spice to it. With this in mind I have stated that wildcards need to be made at least 2 weeks in advance so wildcard crashers can do their stuff

If this becomes a big problem though I may limit the number of wildcards counting in the best 8 scores to say 3 races. (People who do 8 races which are other peoples wildcards are going to naturally get higher points than series races where more members turn up) I want to keep the competition even this year but give some scope for using tactics and cunning to maximise scores.

Barely a week into the new competition and already the organiser is changing the goal posts!

Unbelievable Jeff!

It is the stuff of conspiracies James, if I were you I'd write a strong letter complaining to your MP.

Nonetheless the scores are in for the first race and the results are in the usual place

Tables will be done in due course once we have a couple more races

If only I could score points on tactics and cunning alone. Pah. Thanks DS.
