*sends shivers down spine*

17 miles/ 4800ft
(2 miles on tarmac, rest bit boggy...)

Just an advance shout out for interested folk. The race likely won't sell out but the advance entry at £9 is better than the £20 EOD.

Reccie: Also, I will likely be heading across to Barley village on either Sat 22nd or Sun 23rd Oct for a reccie run, approx 12-13 miles (route tbc). All suitably equipped Pacers are welcome, even if not entering the race.

This event is NOT for novices, but I would strongly recommend that anyone enjoying off-road or shorter fell races to consider doing this race at least once - it's a belter!

Good job that's on my birthday or I may have done a silly thing and entered!

Feel like I have unfinished business on this one as last year's race cut short. Not entered yet but pondering. Interested in recce though. Keep me posted on likely day. Cheers.

Reccie

Will happily aim for the Sat (I think the first WYWL fixture has been scheduled for the Sunday - recovery run?).

I'd prefer to only travel if the weather provides good visibility. Suggested plan is to cover the first 3 miles then omit the middle loop, including geronimo, and pick up the three climbs over the final 9 miles = 12ish total.

All adventurous abilities welcome.
