Yorkshire Vets

I'm not able to attend the club tonight or Thursday. Anyone interested in learning more about the Vets - running, not animal husbandry - then please see me on Tues 12th May or post below.

The next Vets fixture is hosted by Kirkstall Harriers on 26th May - the course and event are suited for ALL abilities. Just treat it like a training run? Around 5 miles, lots of road and usually the biggest (and best) team photo of the year.

Also, please note in the diary: there will be an opportunity for Pacers (new or experienced) to explore the route during a training run on Thurs 21st - more details to follow; likely meeting on Pollard Lane, Bramley.

Online registration has re-opened (free) and further details: www.yvaa.org/

Will be interesting what they do with the route. You can't run up the A65 for the foreseeable future due to the footpath being closed for the Kirkstall Forge development, maybe they'll move the start into Bramley Fall Woods?

Jon - yes aware of the route, just pointing out that the footpath is closed on the left hand side going up the A65 prior to Rein Road. I ran a large part of the route on Sunday.

As host club Kirkstall Harriers is aware of the potential issues of the road works - apparently the works are scheduled to be removed the week prior to the race.

... leaving any remaining unfilled holes as part of the course - extra points available for jump execution and style.
