1.The race will start on Beckfoot Lane, Bingley and will finish at the Bradford and Bingley Rugby Club.
2.Registration will be at the Bradford and Bingley Rugby Club, Wagon Lane, Bingley from 7am. All clubs must provide a list of runners for all legs and their telephone numbers prior to the start of the event. (I SHALL DEAL WITH THIS)
3. Leg 1 runners - Please note it is a 5 minute jog to the start of the race and involves crossing a major road.
4.Numbers will be distributed at the start of each leg. Please arrange to be there in plenty of time to register.
5.Drinks will be available at the end of each leg, clubs must provide/carry their own drinks if they think they will be required en route.
6.The race will follow the route as described in the booklet Bradford’s Millennium Way available from Bradford Information Centres. Route descriptions and maps for each leg along with suggested parking areas are included.
7.There are major road and rail crossings on the course. They must be treated with great care. There will be warning signs on the approach to these crossings.
8.Please obey the Countryside Code and ensure that all gates are left in the state they were in when you arrived. Please respect the landowners and their property.
9.Suggested car parking arrangements will be provided, please ensure that your vehicle is not causing an obstruction in any way.
10.The organisers will not be able to provide any transport of people or equipment around the route except in an emergency.
11.Recceing of the course is highly recommended but please follow the footpaths and do not cut corners particularly over private land. The race will only succeed with the goodwill of landowners.
12.There will be first aid kits available at the end of each leg. Please ask a marshall if you require assistance.
13.Please ensure you carry appropriate clothing and food or drink dependent on the weather.
14.Route descriptions are available from the www.saltairestriders.org.uk web site.

URGENT INFORMATION FROM SALTAIRE STRIDERS FOR ALL BMW LEG 1 RUNNERS.
Due to ongoing issues with the landowner at Marsh and threats to sabotage the event, we have decided to divert the route to miss out the farm as per the attached amended route description and maps, could you please make your leg 1 runners aware of this change. We will mark the changes on the day and make an announcement at the start.

The changes occur on the section from joining West Shaw Lane
instead of turning right down the side of the mill to climb to Marsh via the fields the route now continue's straight ahead on the road (West Shaw Rd), round the bend and up the hill (past the farm) to reach Marsh Lane on your right. Turn right on Marsh Lane continue on Marsh Lane until you reach a footpath on your left to Marsh Common. Turn left and follow this path up several fields to South View Farm. Continue up the lane to the road at Lily Hall Farm. Turn right and after approximately 50 yds turn left between the houses. Follow the track bearing half left up to the end of the leg just before the main car park of Penistone Hill.

Please keep posted to facebook or the forum for updated information leading up to the event this Sunday.
