Dave,

If it doesn't cause too many problems with your pairings, would it be possible for me to run an early leg?

Teams to follow in next day or so. I just want to run them by Nigel and Jenny.

Thanks for all the replies we have enough for 4 teams and a number of reserves. There were a few came in just over the last few days, I have added your names to the lists but as I had already drafted the teams will probably ask you to be reserves on this occasion. For any who are reserves please do not be disheartened, you are every bit as important to the squad of runners and may well still be called into action. Experience has taught me always to have a number of reserves rather than try and squeeze another team in as people will inevitably need to pull out through injury or unforeseen circumstances.

Simon in reply to your enquiry, I propose you to be in leg 3 (Hope this is this early enough for you, its the shortest leg and you will be running in a quick team, I would expect you to be finished before lunchtime.

Here are the proposed teams: -
As always these are subject to change. Firstly thank you to all 50 of you, this is a tremendous response. We have a lot of reserves but I have taken the view that this is more sensible than stretching ourselves with a 5th team and having no reserves. Please remain available as it is inevitable there will be changes.

All the information regarding the race can be found on Saltaire Striders website: PLEASE NOTE - Leg 1 has been extended from previous route, the changeover is now at Penistone Country Park which means Leg 1 is extended by 0.5 mile and consequently Leg 2 is reduced by 0.5 mile.

Cheers Dave,

I was talking to Claire Green of P&B on Sunday and they have entered a team with Suzy paired with Sarah Rowell. Probably need to double check with her though.

Sorry to be a pain but Id not realised its the same weekend we are camping for a friends 50th. We go Friday and come back Sunday. I could probably get back for the last leg but not leg 2

Ok a bit of tidying up to do here.

Adam I suspect you are confusing the Bradford with the Calderdale particularly in view of Suzy's message regarding camping that weekend.

Suzy, how certain would you be of getting back for the last leg? I would need to be certain plus this would be subject to Loretta and Elaine being able/willing to swap.

Finally an apology to Mel Cairns, I appear to have overlooked you whilst carrying out the team selection. My fault entirely please accept my apologies. I have added you to the list of reserves.
