Well Spotted James,
It is down to just missing one line out of excel when the HTML table is automatically generated for the website! as you're so obviously keen on all of this; In Excel I have the following cell which pulls the results together:
="<table>" & S5&S6&S7&S9&S10&S11&S12&S13&S14&"</table>"
When it has pulled in the references it comes out as something like:
<table><TR><TD></TD><TD>Actual Time</TD><TD>Age Adjusted Time</TD><TD>Points</TD></TR><TR><TD>David Burdon (M60)</TD><TD>0:20:53</TD><TD>0:16:48</TD><TD>50</TD></TR><TR><TD>Lynne Barrett (F60)</TD><TD>0:26:07</TD><TD>0:17:57</TD><TD>49</TD></TR><TR><TD>Neil Wallace (M40)</TD><TD>0:21:03</TD><TD>0:19:36</TD><TD>47</TD></TR><TR><TD>Mark Smith (M45)</TD><TD>0:23:01</TD><TD>0:20:18</TD><TD>46</TD></TR><TR><TD>Andrew Hardaker (M50)</TD><TD>0:23:37</TD><TD>0:20:39</TD><TD>45</TD></TR><TR><TD>David Owen (M55)</TD><TD>0:29:31</TD><TD>0:23:57</TD><TD>44</TD></TR><TR><TD>Victoria Dickinson (FSEN)</TD><TD>0:28:23</TD><TD>0:25:02</TD><TD>43</TD></TR><TR><TD>Paul Dewhirst (M50)</TD><TD>0:30:16</TD><TD>0:26:03</TD><TD>42</TD></TR></table>
This is the HTML code for the table on the website. Spot the mistake? row 8 is missing and as I copy and paste a new sheet for each race it propagates the problem. The good news, and you'll be relieved to hear this, is row 8 does exist and is included in the standings spreadsheet so no one is missing points. I've now fixed this in the code that generates the table so row 8 and the 48 point line should be visible.
Re Leeds - as there were 50 people running this one if I had just allocated points as normal some people would have been getting very low scores. I felt this a bit harsh as, at race which has less pacers and for equivalent performances, someone may have scored more. To go a little way to address the disparity I decided to double up on points allocated past the first 10 finishers so that no one was left with really low points. I guess not inline with the rules but applying a bit of common sense and fairness - which there will be more of im sure.
