Sue, can join you for a 'Half' recce Sunday a.m.
Let me know if you still intend to do it.
I'm off line now until Monday so you'd have to ring me on 07766610669
Was intending to run the course on Monday, but tomorrow not a problem.

Just back from a great run on the moors (despite me bloody legs hurting, but what's new?) - starting from Penistone car park, saw not a soul until well beyond the windmills. Fresh air and fantastic views. Hard work getting uphill from the Worth Valley to the Cricket Club after running 13 miles or so.

Evening all,

I'm taking part in the Half Marathon for the first time. Would anyone be able to tell me what essentials I must take as reading through the equipment lists I need to take enough supplies to last me a fortnight in the North Pole!!!!

Many thanks for any help.

Simon

Hi Simon good bum bag or running pack pack waterproof jacket and trousers compass whistle hat gloves drink gel or energy bar and map you will have had an email from Charlie Marshal stating run under FRA rules they may on the day downgrade the full kit but go with full kit rember they do a remdom kit check on finishes. The checkpoints have water and biscuits etc no good if you come a cropper on the hills and although today was a glorious day Sunday it could be alot cooler windy and chucking it down and you cool down realy quick once you stop running or get lost. Not done the half but yet hope to get around on Sunday done full last 2 years you should realy enjoy it. Cheers Steve P
